Tortuga Island is the postcard you imagined when you booked Costa Rica — white sand, palm trees, water so clear you can see the coral from the boat.
We pick you up in Santa Teresa, drive 45 minutes to Tambor, and board a covered boat with bathroom and shade. The 60-minute crossing often comes with dolphin sightings; humpback whales show up December–March.
On the island: snorkel gear, an hour on the reef (calm, shallow, beginner-safe), then a hot beach lunch and free time to swim or nap in a hammock before we head back.
