Empty lineup, glassy waves, golden light. The best surf of the day.
Sunrise is when Santa Teresa's surf is at its best — light wind, glassy water, fewer people in the lineup, and golden light on the cliffs behind Mal País.
We meet at 5:45 AM (don't worry, your accommodation can pour coffee that early), suit up, walk to the break the coach chose for the day's swell, and you have the ocean almost to yourself for 90 minutes.
Includes a few photos taken by the coach on the way back to the beach — the kind your travel-album begs for.
