Group Surf Lesson — Playa Carmen
Stand up on your first wave at one of Costa Rica's best beginner beaches.
Playa Carmen has long, slow, mellow waves that are some of the best beginner conditions in Costa Rica — long rides, sandy bottom, and a wide takeoff zone so you're not fighting for space.
Your 90-minute lesson starts with a 15-minute beach briefing on safety, paddling, and the pop-up. Once you're in the water your instructor stays right next to you, picking your waves and pushing you into them so you spend your energy surfing, not paddling.
All gear is included: soft-top board sized to your weight, rash guard, leash, and reef-safe sunscreen if you forgot yours.
